I’m still not sure about photographic lighting. The above was my test shot to see if the exposure was about right, before I shot about 20 other pictures with different lighting and camera positions, all of which sucked. The lovely gentleman of Strobist has said many things about flash that I have been playing with, but still I continue to practise. I still find it slightly worrying that the shots where I don’t care about the lighting always seem to come about better than the ones where I do.

In other news, I just watched a short film triple bill of Blake’s Junction 7, Ant Muzak and World of Wrestling. And most excellent they were too.

I’ve seen things around about the first and last of the films, and bumped into Ketan (who did some stereoscopic shots of the cast of World of Wrestling and sat on the bus during filming, as well as wandering around an Ant filled supermarket) at Sci-fi London for the last couple of years, but never managed to find (mainly due to lameness in searching) either showing anywhere (as they do appear at film festivals from time to time). However the DVD was released the other day, which is nice. Definitely worth a watch.

I have no idea about the technical qualities of the photo, but if it’s any consolation it made me feel hungry!

Mission accomplished.
