Black Sun Down

It seems that despite having gone to my brother’s gig the other day I managed to not post pictures of it here. Naughty Billy, biscuits->0. So, as a brief brain activating niblet to help me stay awake long enough to read more of my uplifting book before I collapse into a disturbed sleep (full of dreams of knee cap related injuries) I present to you the joy of Black Sun Down.

For those not in the know, my brother is the one with the fake ginger hair in the above photo. Yes, the people at the gig didn’t believe us either. Does this count as photographic proof?

The band supported The Old Gits Blues Band (who I saw) and The Grateful Dads (who I missed due to illness and a mild fear of being chatted up further by the swaying woman in the beret) which, to make a mild understatement, led to a contrast of musical styles.

To continue my regular site pimping style, my brother has a music page up (even if I know there’s not much on it due to maintaining it myself) and the band are over on Facebook (with a couple of tracks uploaded), although I hear tales that Joe (the other guitarist) is a webdesigner and there is prettiness waiting in the wings…

Anyways, I’m off to Canterbury this weekend (after illness caused me to hurry home and hide last time) to grab their next gig, supporting the potentially excellent Gabi and The Whoremoans

In the meantime, have something by the awesome Rautakoura, Ruutitynnyri:
